roberta Carmen My firend May 18, 2007

I have Had to barrie two good friends This year. One of which Carmen might have remebered , But Carmen was my Pearl .. She was one of my best freinds . Carmen and I met Met In a small area down here on the east coast Of Canada .  Both of us moved alot Both of our family's were military, both of Us Loved art Carmen her painting and Myself I sketched.

we Moved to Borden about a year apart . she beat me There Silly women .. I had never been there but she knew The area. and Though we did not atend the same school . we made every effort to see each other .. on weekands . I remeber The Long weekands when she stayed the night at my house a couple times down On Saskchewan Blvd or the couple times Mom ( viviane) allowed me to stay The night at there place.

I remeber The First time she walked , and yes I mean walked down half way to Tim hortons to meet me . She was so tired , and Her legs hurt prety bad But she did it , she did it for herself and to meet me .

I remember How Happy she was when she started Biking , all smiles and so proud .

I remeber how she shocked me one day On the weekand By Driving her bike from her place down about 6 blocks to my place . I was so happy for her that I Made her a Hot chocolate and  chated with her for about 2 hours Before she had to head home  for supper.

Carmen was one of My best friend, she was there when My dad and I had Fights , and when Things got really bad she was one of The best people to talk to .

She was there when Brandy and I parted ways on a Bad note. And she was there when I first was having so much trouble at home That I had To leave because I was to headstrung to deal with things.

Carmen was a Loving women . she cared so much about people and Loved even The nasty people who  made her Life a Living hell at times.

She was strong women , even stronger then me who used to beat Up Bullies IN junior high when They picked on people. But Carmen Never raised a Hand she always Held her own even In silince somtimes. Somone once said " Love your enimies the way you love those you call friends and One's own self " Carmen was The Perfector of such an art.

There are Many things I had to learn when I came back to Nova scotia 6 years ago , Many lessons I had to deal with , and Many things and People I have come to regret associating with . Carmen was never On that list ,  and she never will be.

The Only thing I regret Is having lost contact with her , I wish I could HaveHad The chance to tell her in person How beutiful she was, and been there when she needed all her friends In those last few days .....

Carmen was one my best Friend and Truely amazingly Beutiful soul and Person.

I will miss you Deeply . And I hope I have The pleasure of seeing you in That beutifully peacful new Land you Have found .

I love you Carmen

and I will never Forget you , your always In my heart .

David & Debby We cherish the memory January 10, 2007

Even though we've never saw you or talked to you, we became quiet when we heard the news. Sadness in the depths of our hearts for someone we've never met, but we know who was a kind and a gentle girl, with dreams and hopes. It is sad...

We think of you, we carry the memory of your image in our hearts. We will never forget you...

Jane Mills- Ottawa Ontario A Message of Comfort and Consolation January 2, 2007

A loved one is a treasure of the heart, losing a loved one is like losing a piece of yourself. But the love that this person brought you did not leave, for the essance of the soul lingers. It cannot escape your heart, for it has been there forever.

Cling to the memories and let them find their way to heal you.The love the laughter, the joy in the togetherness you shares, wil make you stronger. You'll come to realize that your time together, no matter how long, was meant to be and that you were blessed to have such a precious gift of love in your life.

Keep your heart beating with the love of memories, and trust in your faith to guide you through. Know that, thought life moves on, the beauty of love stays behind to suurond and embrace you. Your loved one left you that ....to hold in your heart forever.

Kate Bastien Mcdonald Ms. December 13, 2006

Carmen was my neice, the daughter of my brother John and his wife Viviane.  Because of age, time and distance, we were never very close.  Nevertheless, from ,my conversations with Carmen I felt that I shared  a bit of her spirit.  From my experience, she was always forward, enthusiastic, and joyful about her future.  I am sad that it didn't last that long.  Life is not fair and we should rejoice in spirits, such as Carmen's, that are optimistic, and happy.  She was a wonderful woman and she, her parents, and her sister Tanya, should be glad to have had her.  God Speed Carmen - we love you.

Kate and family.

Debbie Ells You were special October 1, 2006
Carmen, you were special and always will be special.   You never asked for anything and you gave all.   Those who truly knew you will miss you because you were that person that after someone met you and got to know you they just knew how special you were.   You were stubborn and had to have things your way but you lived life to its fullest and you never let anyone know the pain you were going through instead you hid it inside yourself for only you to ponder.  You rest in peace sweet angel.  We loved you.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the loss of one of our own. When the strenght of tomorrow is lost to us, it is indeed a time of true sorrow.

I had the pleasure of sharing some time with Carmen through her journey with us in our program. I know I speak for all the faculty who taught Carmen, she will be remembered. Knowing Carmen, she would not want us to grieve, rather celebrate her living memory.

Dearest Vivian & family, my heart aches for you. I knew Carmen only through the eyes of her mother, as Viv told us at CWL convention of her dear daughter and her many health struggles and mostly of her love of family. Know she is with God and has been lifted into His hands with the prayers of your CWL sisters. He will guide you through this most difficult time, and to remember the happy times together.
